30 Ballparks, 1 Season.

It's the gold standard for the most dedicated fans of baseball and travel - visiting all 30 active ballparks in Major League Baseball.

To do it all in a single season is a feat with even further distinction. Or perhaps it’s simply madness. Join me on the ride in 2024 and we’ll find out together.

Double Play

Beyond the challenge of making it to all 30 destinations and attending a game, there are two tasks I’ll seek to accomplish at each stop:

  1. Get a ball at every game. Not a game-used ball… I'm not that lucky, and certainly not that good… but I'll show up early and beg for toss-ups. Maybe fortune will strike and I'll catch a batting practice home run once or twice. Ultimately, if the ball was on the field and makes it into my glove, it'll count.

  2. Keep score at every game. Old school pen & paper style. These will make for great mementos (same as #1), but more importantly it will keep me focused on what matters - the enjoyment of watching baseball!

Extra Innings

The theme here is baseball, but as they say - the journey is the destination. 30 Bagger is not aimed exclusively at an audience of baseball fanatics. I pledge to balance with plenty of diverse travel-related content. I'll talk about the cities I visit, people I meet… occasionally to the extent of entire posts having nothing to do with baseball.
